Such is the first intrusion into the world of the true architects of Melbourne, the Micro-colony of Ludea; a group of obscure entities who compete amongst themselves for recognition as the designers of a secret Melbourne.

A futuristic Melbourne yet to be discovered and of which we know nothing with certainty– not even that it is false.

A prophetic, hi-tech Melbourne that the public will come to understand preceded the telegraph as part of the architecture of Melbourne’s streets. This is the obsession of the Locative Urbanist.

It will be the work of the Urban Codemakers to map the pathway for discovery and understanding of their city. They will create and mark the laneways of Melbourne to guide your pursuit.

But beware. There is disaffection among the Guilds. There will be much feudal lording as the Codemakers do their work to rezone the city under the pressure from the Macro Cosmologist for unity. The Crossmedia Ecologist and Urban Mythologist are mischievous and will seek to confuse with playful signage and false codes. The Device Decoda will attempt to short-circuit the entire process.

You must actively look for and identify a Third Language– a language that will reveal a Melbourne you never knew existed.
