Running the program…

Uptime is now 35 days with only one system crash.  Luckily, we were able to restore from backups with no significant data loss.

Our fieldwork operatives have spent the time since the crash moving through the streets, tinkering with variables, tweaking parameters, forging new rules.  Some are visible.  Others are invisible.  But they are all in service of finding the underlying structure, the patterns, the rules and variables.

One aspect of the pattern emerging from the dust cloud of data was that movement through space could manifest in the internal state of those running the program.  The act of traversing the node-graph shifts the internal representation of the same graph.  As Schrodinger posited, observing the system, experiencing the system, causes the system itself to change.

We believe that running our program is causing the city itself to change.

And not just the city, but its inhabitants.

Please, below, report any strange occurances you have observed, changes in the city’s shape, discoveries you have made about vagaries in its structure and your understanding of it.

We will document changes specific to our own experiments on our guild site here.
